I have a patio in my home and personally when it comes to having window treatments I prefer to go with the traditional patio door drapes. Many others are often enticed by the newer and more up to date window treatments but I think that drapes can still be the best choice around. Here are the reasons why these can be more practical:
Price- compared to all other window treatments, drapes are still the cheapest option around. A few yards of cloth will still turn out to cost much less than a few panels or blinds. Not to mention that you don’t have to pay any extras for installation. Anyone can put in drapes and most homes come fitted with curtain rods already. Also if you are proficient with the sewing machine you can even save more by sewing your own drapes. Maintenance- nothing can be easier that putting the drapes into a rod and putting the rod back onto the hooks. There’s no need for special devices or services just to get these up. It is also easy when it comes to cleaning and maintenance. Just pop these into your washer and they’ll come out clean. There’s no need for any brushing, wiping or vacuuming. Versatility- you can’t have as much decorating freedom with other treatments as you can with drapes. There are so many different colors and prints that you can choose from allowing you to match your curtains with the entire room. Also if you change your mind about how your room looks you won’t need to worry about taking down something that you’ve put in permanently. You can change your drapes just as often as you change the room’s look.
