One of the things that I have loved about some of the backyard structures I have seen built, is that they can be used for so many different things. I have seen so many uses that come out of one simple, but beautiful thing it has been so exciting.
One of the backyard structures that impressed me the most was the traditional garden arbor. It is such a beautiful piece in the garden, all I could think about, was “What else could be better than using your garden arbor in your garden?” It seemed like whoever invented the garden arbor got it spot on that the only place and best place to use a garden arbor was in a garden. It was perfect all around. The setting, the scene, the feeling and spirituality of the whole place was calming and really and truly “perfection”. There was nothing that could improve the seen better. If you took something out, it would’ve been missing something, but if you used anything that was a part of that scene, seemed just a little bit disrespectful to use them anywhere else. But, that was until I found myself in the middle of a show of sorts, that showed and created the most important uses for backyard structures.
What I saw was hard to explain, because of the feelings I had felt before. I saw a garden arbor used as a wedding arbor. Just like the garden, the wedding arbor seemed like it was the best place to use the garden arbor. Nothing else would do like that would. It was absolutely beautiful. It just goes to show that things that you think can’t be changed can be so much more beautiful in a different setting.
