I am the current owner of a company called Driveways Reading, and in the last few years, I’ve learned a lot about how brand loyalty works in the business world. We just recently returned to our original name, and it’s helped our business get back on track. A few years ago, I changed our name to Driveway Construction Reading, and then I changed it to Driveway Resurfacing Reading. None of these ended up being very good choices, because people didn’t know who we were.

When it comes to the contracting and construction world, people depend a lot on word of mouth for recommendations when choosing companies and it is easy to make a bad choice. The jobs are very expensive for people, and they want someone they can trust absolutely. When we were originally known as driveways reading, we had a great reputation in the area, but after we changed our name to Driveway Construction Reading, it hurt our business quite badly, because the customers were still looking for Driveways Reading. The eventual change to Driveway Resurfacing Reading was really a poor move on my part, and the results were predictable.

Now that we’ve gone back to Driveways Reading, the business is really starting to roll in again. I can’t believe how much better it is compared to when we were called driveway construction reading, and Driveway Resurfacing Reading. The amount of money we are making is like a night to day change, and it’s a testament to the ultimate power of brand loyalty in the construction business.
