I have been a contractor and builder with timber frame wood for years and so I know for sure when I see something of good quality when I see it. I have owned a pretty successful company but have started to expand it and find other techniques to accomplish and make my production better. I do a lot of backyard structures for people all over the states. And because of this, I have to have my products in “shipping” ship shop shape and easy to construct and assemble. They have to be made easy to construct by a naive person in wood works. And so, I have been making my structures as efficient as I can, but also as easy as I can to assemble. I’m pretty satisfied with where I am now, but I won’t stop till I find better ways. As of right now, I have found the coolest thing ever that makes pergolas in Utah easy to assemble, but so very efficient.
I think most people know about the expansion and contraction of wood during weather. It has caused a lot of problems with pure timber products because they end up leaving gapes in the joints and ruining the whole product as a whole. That is why wood is cured first, but even if it is cured first, it doesn’t solve the problem. But, the one thing that I have been so astounded and excited about is that the technique I have learned allows for all of this to happen still, but really keeps things professional and of great quality.
